Building a Cloud Platform for the Internet of Things – The Bosch IoT Cloud
The lecture will introduce some principles in basic cloud platform design, as well as technical aspects and challenges for integrating internet of things devices.
About the speaker
Robert Bosch GmbH Germany
Robert Henjes, Dr. rer. nat., studied computer science with focus on communication systems and received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the University of Wuerzburg, Germany. From 2004 to 2011 he worked as a research assistant at the University of Wuerzburg. From 2011-2015 he works for the Robert Bosch GmbH starting with enterprise network operations, which covers topics like network monitoring and design of the global backbone, as well as WAN optimization. Since 2016 he joined the Bosch IoT Cloud as senior manager for the Infrastructure as a Service, where he was responsible for the overall IaaS design and operations organization. Starting from 2017 he changed his focus in the context of the Bosch IoT Cloud as senior manager responsible for platform management, which covers security, quality assurance, and monitoring aspects.
